The 2023 SSAEM Conference, to share the best practices and paragons of Asia-Pacific Teacher Exchange for Global Education (hereinafter referred to as APTE)’ will be held on 17 November at Stanford Hotel Korea.

The SSAEM Conference (Sharing Stories of Asia-Pacific Education Movements) is a conference where teachers take center stage. It is hosted by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea and organized by the APCEIU. The Conference aims to address the increasing need for enhanced cultural understanding and global competency among teachers in this globalizing world. This year marks an important milestone because the APTE programme has brought back face-to-face activities since the three-year hiatus due to the pandemic while continuing the online exchanges simultaneously through the “Two-Track” approach. This Conference aims to reflect on the fruits of the seeds that had been planted from various perspectives and establish long-term goals and plans for the future.

The SSAEM conference, which has been held annually since 2014 offers an opportunity for teachers to showcase the outcomes of their educational exchanges and to explore the better quality of future implementation through sharing the excellent cases as well as to strengthen collaboration among stakeholders involved in the programme. It is also an occasion to encourage networking and sustainable follow-up activities among teachers through the sharing of cases of outstanding follow-up activities by alumni.

The 2023 SSAEM Conference will be live-streamed at the official website(http://ssaem.unescoapceiu.org) and online participation is possible through pre-registration on the website by 16 November.
