Gyeongju High School is located in Gyeongju, the capital of the ancient Silla Kingdom, which thrived for nearly a millennium. The school was established in 1938, during the height of Japanese imperialist persecution, when any attempt by Koreans to inspire national spirit was at risk of being brutally suppressed. Despite these circumstances, Sir Subong, the school's founder, donated a significant portion of his wealth to establish the school, risking everything. Since then, Gyeongju High School has produced approximately 26,300 graduates who have played indispensable roles in Korea’s social, political, and economic development. Today, it remains a powerhouse, continuously cultivating the talented individuals needed for the rapidly evolving world.
