Hello, everyone! SMAN 3 Padang Panjang is one of the Academic Government High Schools in Padang Panjang, West Sumatera. It is located near the Mayor office of Padang Panjang and was established in 2005. The school consists of 800 students, 56 teachers and 6 administrative staff. We are very active in GCED Program. Since participating in the teacher exchange program held by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea and APCEIU in 2019, we truly began to concern about GCED. We got so many benefits and experiences from the program. One of them was the school visit by Mr. Hyunbin Lim, a teacher of Seoul Technical High School, Korea to build a sister-school partnership between Seoul technical high school and SMAN 3 Padang Panjang in 2020. From 2020 till now, we have been cooperating with international schools including India, the UK, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan for promoting SDGs. One of the projects we did was the so-called “one thousand tree-planting project”. During the project, active cultural collaborations and GCED discussions were held. Students of each school also made a video clip of the“save the planet song”. Students sang the song together with the composer of the song, Ms. Linky from South Africa. All of the activities were done online. In 2021, we were lucky to get a second chance to join teacher- exchange program sponsored by the Ministry of Education of Korea and APCEIU, UNESCO. We developed and ran a wonderful program for students and teachers to be good global citizens. Even in the pandemic era, we have conducted online conferences and classes with Seoul Technical High School(Korea), SMK Sungai Kertas( Malaysia), Yakutsk City Lyceum(Russia) and SMKN 6 Palembang(Indonesia). Furthermore, our school has made a sister-school partnership in Australia and received a visit from a teacher of Alstonville High School, Australia. We warmly welcome any schools interested in cooperating and collaborating with us.
